We finally did it. We sold our condo, bought a house, and moved (on up) to the east side.
May I gush for a moment? The house is delightful. It was built in the 1930s and has only had 4 owners including us. The exterior is stone, the roof is slate (ish), and the interior is warm and cozy...
The kitchen has several dozen cabinets...
(Note: "several dozen cabinets" are great until the pasta is boiling over and you can't remember which cabinet has the pot holders!)
...and even an island!
Since the place sits on two lots backing up to a national park, we look forward to planting a garden.
But in the meantime, we look forward to toasting some home made marshmallows over a roaring fire. Or two.
Come visit!!
If only this were the last set of boxes to unpack...

...except for that fun, snowy first weekend when Washington Gas lost our request to turn on the gas and we had no heat. I used space heaters and bourbon to stay warm. Good times.

"Measure twice, install once," anyone?

Though perhaps when it's a bit warmer outside...
Seriously, there are two.
